With a vast sound that links progressive alt/rock with atmospheric synth noise, The Manic Shine are fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in todays progressive modern music. They combine time signature changes, soaring guitars and heart-pounding groove to deliver an inebriating wall of metamorphic art rock.
"Their brand of genre-hopping technical wizardry is where modern rock music is at!" - Music Week
With four national UK tours in the last 12 months and rapidly gaining a formidable live reputation; the four-piece from North London look forward to a busy 2013 in support of their fan-funded album 'Let Go Or Be Dragged'. All four have a degree in music and bring a vast, impressive knowledge of their instruments to their craft.
Their first single 'Pretend' from their self-released debut album 'Blindsider' had support from NME, BBC Introducing's Tom Robinson and a host of blogs. The Manic Shine have supported Carl Barat and The Maccabees and play regularly in clubs across the UK. Their extensive touring has built them a fanatical fanbase, who helped the band finance the recording of their second album through crowd funding.
The band enlisted producers The Animal Farm to produce the album, which was recorded completely live, without a click track and without any Protools gimmickry. 'Let Go Or Be Dragged' features a young rock band with the chops to go where other bands have no business even trying...
